kberounskyAfter many years of playing rugby in the Czech rugby National team, I started to suffer from a chronic hamstring injury. I underwent many treatments, until I finally arrived at pilates, which not only helped the state of my injury, but also improved my general flexibility and even strength. I have attended the course at Pilates Clinic Method – mathwork I. at Dan Müllers IQ movement and a course of Flowin. My interest in body mechanics and the benefits of exercise also stems from my studies, I am a third year medical student at Charles University's 1st faculty of medicine. Pilates, apart from strengthening the entire body, teaches people the correct forms of movement for everyday life, whether it's sitting, walking or even breathing and by doing so it eases back pain, which is very common today.
